Bio

Gaurav Pai earned his MBA and bachelor’s degree from Indian Institute of Management Indore, with a focus on finance and quantitative methods. His coursework included topics such as stochastic processes, econometrics, statistical inference, and game theory. He has also completed CFA Level II. Prior to joining the Financial Mathematics program at NC State University, Gaurav worked on developing forecasting models, building financial dashboards, and applying quantitative techniques to support decision-making and performance optimization across global business units. His career interests lie in portfolio management, quantitative research, and risk management. With experience in Python, R, and SQL, Gaurav aims to build the quantitative and technical expertise to explore model-based approaches to investment strategy and financial risk.
