Melanie holds a degree in Statistics and Analytics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has developed a strong foundation in data analysis, financial modeling, and applied mathematics. She has a particular interest in financial mathematics, especially in areas such as risk assessment, pricing models, and predictive analytics. Melanie has gained hands-on experience as both a data analyst and reinsurance analyst, where she worked with large datasets and complex financial metrics to inform strategic decision-making. Most recently, she served as a project director at the UNC Environmental Finance Center, leading initiatives focused on utility finance and public infrastructure. Throughout her career, Melanie has demonstrated a commitment to applying quantitative methods to solve practical challenges in finance and public policy.
