Junheng Zhou is a graduate student in the Master of Financial Mathematics program at North Carolina State University. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics with a concentration in Financial Mathematics from NC State, where he built a strong foundation in probability, statistics, optimization, and computational finance. His academic interests include quantitative research, financial modeling, model risk management, and data-driven investment strategies. Before entering the MFM program, Junheng completed internships in quantitative trading, fixed-income research, and investment analysis. During these experiences, he developed and backtested quantitative trading strategies, analyzed financial data, and supported investment research using Python and statistical methods. He also completed research projects involving cryptocurrency trading strategies, portfolio optimization, and financial modeling, further strengthening his programming and analytical skills. Through the MFM program, Junheng aims to deepen his expertise in quantitative methods and pursue a career in quantitative risk management, model validation, or financial analytics.
