Bio

Gavin Reider earned his Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University with majors in Mathematics and Physics. His academic background, research experience, and independent projects have developed his interests in financial markets, predictive modeling, machine learning, and using quantitative methods to make informed decisions. He gained professional programming experience through a software engineering internship and leadership experience as president of Cornell’s chapter of Beta Theta Pi. He also built a quantitative research system using machine learning and large-scale blockchain data to analyze newly launched Solana tokens, develop trading signals, and evaluate strategies through backtesting. Gavin has experience with statistical analysis, simulation, and data pipelines. Through the Master of Financial Mathematics program, he hopes to strengthen his knowledge of stochastic modeling, advanced statistical learning, and computational finance in preparation for a career in quantitative research, model development, or risk management.
