Maria Muntaha completed a double major in Business Management and Economics with dual specializations in Finance and Operations, earning her B.S. degree in 2024 from Stony Brook University. During her studies at Stony Brook University, she worked as a research assistant, applying Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) models and VBA to assess the financial performance and quality outcomes of Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) in the state of Pennsylvania, in collaboration with three faculty members. She and her team presented this work at the Northeast Decision Sciences Institute (NEDSI-2024) Conference in Boston. With a strong quantitative and analytical background, Maria is now pursuing opportunities in financial mathematics, particularly in risk management, and holds a long-term interest in advanced graduate study, including the potential pursuit of a PhD.
