Bio
Pierre Lucien completed two Master’s degrees in France: a Master in Business Management at Emlyon Business School and a Master of Engineering, majoring in Data Science, at École des Mines de Saint-Étienne, before moving to the US to pursue a Master in Financial Mathematics at North Carolina State University. This path gave him a solid base in both finance and quantitative methods. He interned as a Pricing Actuary at AXA in Paris, where he built and calibrated pricing models for life and savings insurance products and automated parts of the modeling workflow in R. Earlier, at CMA CGM in Norfolk, he worked on data science projects, including a pricing-impact model and an LLM-based tool to support pricing decisions. He is proficient in Python, R, SQL, and VBA, with a strong interest in quantitative finance and data-driven decision-making. He is keen to develop and apply quantitative methods to address complex challenges across financial markets, risk management and pricing.
