Bio
Zach Wiebe earned his undergraduate degrees in Mathematics and Physics with a concentration in Quantitative Finance at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Passionate about bridging the gap between models and the real world, he is mathematically-minded in everything from the logic of programming to the evaluation of models in physical and financial systems. Zach has performed quantitative data analysis for a variety of projects including a paper he presented at the American Society for Engineering Education 2025 conference, and has experience in portfolio management through the Kenan-Flagler Capital Markets Lab’s Bloomberg Terminals. Zach is excited to further his knowledge, skills, and connections through NC State’s Financial Mathematics masters program and hopes to improve upon financial models to increase their accuracy and reliability.
